So there's this dress that I've been ogling in H&M since August. I nearly bought it about ten times, but I'm rather glad I didn't; I found it in the sale rack yesterday! Not only was it 50% off, but it was part of their Buy One, Get One Free deal, so I got it in black as well. Good times. There's no need to buy wholesale clothing when you've got patience!

Dress & top - H&M
Cardigan - my sister's wardrobe
Boots - Penneys
Brooch - Etsy
These fake Doc Martens are the most beautiful things in the world. Fact. I got them in Penneys for a mere €16, and they are so comfortable I can barely believe it. It's a pity they're such rubbish quality, because I'd love if they lasted me for years... Oh well, I'll definitely get my money's worth out of them. I must confess, though, I'm almost tempted to go and buy another pair to hide away until these fall apart.
And now I'm going off to town to tour the coffee shops with my copy of Bleak House, the prospect of which makes me more excited than it probably should.

Hee hee! I bought the same boots last week and feel the same way! Am really tempted to get the red ones for teaming with some hot pink tights and a puffball skirt... Hmm, I think I've just talked myself into it.
I'm not generally a Penneys shopper, but stopped in for some boots as there's only a few more months of winter left, so the boots only need to last until, say, mid-April. I also got a pair of black and white woven houndstooth ankleboots with fur on the inside and they are TO DIE FOR. Have been getting compliments all week and they only cost a fiver. Also fancy getting a backup pair of those, because, if I'm honest, I don't foresee a long life for them!
My sister has these and wears them everyday for school! You should totally go buy a second pair - I always regret not doing that when my favourite shoes/jeans/tights wear out.
Oh wow, what a score!
Oh Penneys... How I will miss you when I leave these shores
you've got a very cool room!
What a great buy! I love the whole look of your photo.
nice blog!
Hi, Emily! I'm a big fan of Vulgar Moon, and I've been a lurker here for awhile. I'm tagging you for a meme, and you can do it if you want to. If not, keep up the great writing! You're one of my top blogs I read on a regular basis, and you totally inspire me. Thanks!
Ooh, I love the H&M top! Almost bought it last Autumn but I restrained myself and now regret it. Darn!
Are those boots reasonably waterproof? I'd be interested in picking up a pair for experimentation even though my style is a long way from Doc Martens!
And as always, you look awesome!
love the polka-dot flourich underneath, very cute
hey is that your apartment? looks lovely as does your outfit very fancy!
Dude! Buy the another pair stat! Or you will always rue the day you passed up "The Most Amazing Fake Doc Martens Ever."
Okay, I'm glad everyone's as enthused about the shoes as I am!
Dawn - They're waterproof as can be... for the time being, at least.
One can hardly get too excited about Bleak House (my opinion). Have you seen the BBC special of it? It wasn't bad!
pity you didn't use the buy one get one free deal to buy another dress in a size that fits well
