On the one hand, I'm not someone to spend money on schlap for my face, on the other hand... it's probably a good thing there are no Lush shops in Limerick, because I'd be permanently bankrupt.
I bought myself a Night in for Two (or, err, two nights in for one) when I was in Cork the other day, and spent the evening having fun with it. If you've ever wanted to try some of Lush's products, this is probably a great way to start - you get two sample-sized cleansers and moisturisers, two toner tabs, two muslin facecloths, and a full-sized face mask for a tenner! (Also, it costs £10 in the UK, so I don't feel ripped off for once.)
It's mostly the cleansers and the moisturisers that I go into raptures over. I don't get spots when I use them, which is kind of an amazing event for me. At the moment I'm using:
I'm preeetty sure I've talked about this stuff before, but it merits mentioning again! Beaut.ie gave it a pretty bad review not so long ago, so I guess it doesn't do it for everyone. I, however, think it's a miracle product; I don't find that it smells of anything much, it takes all my makeup off in one swoop, and leaves everything so soft that I don't even have to use any moisturiser afterwards. What more could you want?
While I should probably hate this on the basis of their spelling alone, this is another bathroom staple for me. It definitely smells odd, since it's made with calamine (anyone else remember being slathered in the stuff when you got chicken pox?), but it also definitely does wonderful things for dry, blotchy, red skin.
I actually ran out of this a while ago, and have yet to buy another tub. This is probably my favourite of the Lush moisturisers that I've tried, since it had the least greasy texture and I could slap it on before running out the door without looking as though I'd dipped my face in the deep-fat frier. It was also of the weird-smelling variety, though.
I bought this while I was in Sweden, because winter does terrible things to my face, and it hasn't disappointed! While it's heavier than Imperialis, and I don't really like putting it on in the mornings, it's really nice to put on before bed. Also, it just smells like moisturiser, and nothing else strange - probably why I liked it better than Celestial, which felt as though I was smearing melted vanilla ice-cream all over my face.
So, in conclusion, Lush skincare products have a tendency to smell a bit funky, but they do their jobs like nobody's business! (If you want nice-smelling, go pick up a bar of their soap or a bubbly bath thing.) All I know is that there's nowhere else I'd rather spend my money when I'm in need of face gloop. Love!
